After pick-up from your Broome accommodation, travel by comfortable 4WD up the spectacular Dampier Peninsula. Largely Aboriginal-owned land, the Dampier Peninsula is a delight for travellers seeking a Kimberley experience that is culturally rewarding in a beautiful environment. Travelling north, learn about the peninsula’s fascinating place in Australia’s history from your local driver guide. Arrive at Cygnet Bay, home to the oldest operating Pearl Farm in Australia. This morning enjoy a cooked restaurant breakfast overlooking the bay. Then join either a *Culture & Heritage tour with Terry Hunter, a fourth generation pearler and proud Bardi man or alternatively learn about how the local Bardi people of this area were some of the first people to appreciate the beauty of pearl shell on a tour known as Riji – the art of carving shell. There will be ample time this morning to further explore the coastline, relax and enjoy the views, or have a swim in the infinity pool. We reluctantly say goodbye and journey back along the Cape Leveque Road arriving in Broome this afternoon for drop off directly to your accommodation. *Specific tour type and times depend on tour departure dates and are subject to change.

- The Kimberley climate during our touring season coincides with ‘the Dry’. Generally the temperature ranges between 28-32º C during the day & may drop down to below 6º C during the night. It may be considerably warmer during September & October as ‘the Wet’ approaches.
- South West climate is generally Mediterranean, with cool & wet Winters & hotter dry Summers.
